Tagged!

Thanks Stacy for tagging me! I'm too nervous to go to bed yet, so this is a good distraction.

Rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Write 6 random things about yourself
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them
5. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

My Random Facts:

1. I am the youngest member of a family trunk. I am an only child who was born to two only children. My Dad was the only one of his generation, his parents siblings didn't have children. I have this teeny tiny suspicion that infertility might just run in my family.

2. I am a cuticle biter. If you know me in real life, you may have noticed this. It is my worst and longest running habit. It drives my husband and my mother crazy. I have done it since I was in about 2nd grade. The only cure seemed to be fake nails. . .but then I started chewing those and they were expensive to replace.

3. The first boy I ever kissed has the same first name as the last boy I will ever kiss :-) I was 16. Everyone else had already been kissed, and I felt like such a dweeb. He was younger than me. Actually, he was younger than me just about the same amount as my DH is younger than me. Apparently it's a thing. I'm pretty sure he felt pressured. And then he decided he liked the pretty little blonde girl better.

That is one place where history damn well not repeat itself!

4. I have a large collection of holiday socks. I have a lot of Christmas socks with toes. In fact, most of my socks are fun prints. When I student taught I was in third grade, and they were always on the carpet by my feet. It was fun when they noticed and said something. Now, they are mainly just for the amusement of my husband. Older kids don't notice your pink cow socks like the little ones do.

5. I consider myself semi-fluent in Spanish. It was my second college major and I spent a semester in Spain. If you ever sat down with me to watch the Spanish channel though, I would probably understand and know when to laugh, etc. but coudn't translate it. This used to drive my Mom crazy. Sorry.

6. In one small apartment in Vermont what feels like 100 years ago I lived with an entire food chain. Hamster. Boa Constrictor. Cat. Dog. Red Tailed Hawk. Human. All we needed was a some sort of dinosaur that could eat us. The Hamster actually lived in his little cage on top of the snake cage, and was reportedly once thrown out the window of a moving car to try to bait a hawk. Poor Bailey. He died the year he lived in my classroom and had to come home to die. It was very sad.

Okay, so this is my first tag and it was from one of my local girls, and most of them have already been tagged. So. . .I am branching out to people who might need something else to think about :-) Oh, and who have nicely been commenting in my blog. Is tagging the equivelent of a chain letter that you hate to get them?
