In life, it's not the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. Welcome to my moments.

My Husband Rocks on Saturday, too.
Okay, so with everything going on yesterday, I may have forgotten my Friday pledge to praise my husband. But that's okay because he rocks everyday of the week.
Today, we went out and ran some errands after our early morning, "Yes, your ovaries are still there" appointment. We met with the RE who is going to do my retrieval in the morning, and the new doctor in the practice. She was manning Mr. Wandy today, and made what I thought was a funny comment. "I am having trouble seeing anything other than her right ovary on the screen." That's because righty is MASSIVE!
I'm starting to worry about starting school and what I'm going to be able to wear if I'm really bloated. I've tried to pick up a few things over the summer that are "maternity friendly" when they are on sale. Today, I gave up on doing things halfway and actually purchased some items from the maternity sections at Target and Kohls. I feel like I broke some kind of IF club rule, but oh my God, I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner! I am so uncomfortable and bloated, and they make pants with nice wide comfy elastic waistbands, that actually make me look thinner!
I ended up with two pairs of capris and a couple of dresses. I figure if we don't get pregnant this cycle, at least I'll have something to wear when I just get fat from too much dessert :-)
Tonight, I'm offically cooked. I am so sore, bloated, and have a lot of pain on my right side. I'm not moving from this couch until bedtime, and I hope I feel better after retrieval in the morning. I guess the Vicodin will help with that!
What does this have to do with my husband? He very patiently went shopping with me, held my stuff, gave honest opinions in the dressing room (we have hit a point where it is okay to say I look pudgy or pregnant in something), and didn't complain when I picked out a new pair of shoes. Quite a guy, my husband!

Trigger Tonight!!!
Disclaimer: If you are from TTC6+, sorry I am just copying my post there!'
Okay, I am freaking out. They bumped my dates up, and at my follie check this morning, they decided to have me trigger tonight for ER on Sunday. My lead follies went from 14mm to 22mm in two days. Even with Ganirelix. Apparently I am a rockstar on Follistim.
My E2 levels (I have no idea what they mean) are in the 700s, and the RE said they were good. Not that he doesn't trust my ovaries, but he doesn't trust my ovaries.
My lining is "perfect" at 12.34 He only measured the bigger follies on each side, on the left 16, 17 on the right 22, 22, and 19. There are a lot of smaller ones floating in the background.
Transfer should be on Wednesday, Beta on 8/24. There are targets on my butt. We are ready to rock. This week, I haven't been around much because I've been frantically trying to get everything ready for school before we start in a week and a half. It looks like I am about out of time!

Follie Updates
Very brief and very late entry. We had a very long day. I went in for my second follie check today. My right ovary continues to be the champ (if I remember right, it responded best to the fertility drugs every time - why?) with 2 lead follies measuring in at 14mm and "a bunch of" 12s. I didn't officially get a count. My left ovary has a few follies, but they are also smaller. I am hoping they catch up.
My next appointment is Friday. Tomorrow morning I start the Ganirelix and the RE said that should even out the follies. It sounds like maybe we will trigger Saturday night and then have ER on Monday. We'll see what happens then.
Thank you for all the well-wishes and good thoughts!

First Follie Check
As usual, I don't get a lot of information from my RE. But that's okay, I know knowledge is power, but it's something else for me to worry about too!
I have been stimming with Follistim for 4 days (225 iu for 2 days, 150 for the rest), and we have about 8-9 follies that he measured. 5-6 on the right side, all around 11mm, 2-3 smaller ones on the left.
Everyone seemed to think that is fine, and I don't think I'll get my E2 numbers (I don't know what they mean anyway!). I am using an antagonist protocol and usually respond pretty well to stims. We go back Wednesday for another check, and it sounds like ER could be as early as Friday!
Probably the neatest thing about today's appointment was I ran into someone I know who is also going through IVF. We went out to breakfast and talked, it was the first time either of us knew the other was in the same boat.
The other thing I've noticed is lately I've been seeing butterflies everywhere. Okay, so I cheated a little at the Butterfly house, but since then I've seen them all over. I like to think of it as a lucky sign, and they are a beautiful thing to notice flying by. One just flew by the window and I like to think they are the symbol of Hope that goes along with the adorable symbol of Faith that is currently sound asleep under the table I am typing on.
